Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information YourOwnBusiness.Website, a service of Outta Work Solutions ("we", "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers yourownbusiness.website (including the website previews we host there), our emails, and the service we provide to customers.
1. Information we collect
- Public business information. To prepare a preview of a website for a business, we use information that is publicly available: the business's name, address, phone number, website, public listings and reviews, social profiles, and business contact details published by the business or by business-data providers.
- Information you give us. Your name, email address and phone number, details about your business, and the materials you send us (logo, photos, text), plus anything you write to us.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, what you bought, the amount and whether the payment succeeded. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Preview visits. When a preview link is opened, we record when it was first and last opened, how many times, and the type of browser used for the most recent visit.
- Site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to these pages and see which of them get read: the page address, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not identify you individually, and does not follow you to other websites or build a profile of you. We do not use advertising trackers anywhere.
- Email activity. When we email a business about its preview, our email provider tells us whether the message was delivered and whether it was opened or clicked.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect these pages. Preview pages load their typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver it.
2. How we use it
- To prepare website previews and tell the business about them.
- To build, launch and look after the websites our customers buy, including setting up a Cloudflare account and registering a domain in the customer's name, which requires the customer's name and contact details.
- To process payments, send receipts and service emails, and answer questions.
- To keep our records, meet our legal and tax obligations, and prevent fraud and abuse.
3. Emails and opting out
We may email a business once we have made a preview for it. Every such email tells you how to opt out. If you reply asking us to stop, or email us, we will not contact you again, and we keep only the minimum record needed to honor that request.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the service, and only as much as each needs: Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, domain registration, site analytics), Stripe (payments), our email provider, and any calendar or form provider a customer chooses. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is sold. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting requirements. We delete a preview on request. Do-not-contact records are kept so that we can keep honoring them.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask us to take down a preview of your business. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state's privacy law. Email us and we will respond after confirming your identity.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Children
Our service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell customers by email about any material change.
